Can we freeze ground beef?
Yes! Wrap well or use a vacuum sealer for less freezer burn. You can freeze either cooked or uncooked beef. If you leave it in the freezer for too long it will get more freezer burned, which is really just the liquid coming out of the meat and freezing as ice crystals. This does not make the meat any more tasty, but it is certainly safe to eat. We often put it in sauces when it is freezer burned beyond recognition. Obviously the meat will not last forever in the freezer - you should plan to use it within a few months of putting it in, if possible. And always smell your meat before you cook it. The human nose is very good at detecting dangerous food products, especially when meat has gone bad.
